We love day hikes in the Vail Valley. Throughout Vail and the other surrounding towns, there’s endless trails for drinking in the fresh mountain air, spotting wildlife and witnessing wildflowers and gorgeous vistas as far as the eye can see.
Booth Falls Trail
This 3.9-mile round-trip hike offers stunning views of waterfalls, wildflowers, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
Gore Lake Trail
This 11-mile round-trip hike takes you through the beautiful Gore Range, with breathtaking views of the mountains, forests, and alpine meadows.
Berry Picker Trail
This 3.2-mile round-trip hike is a local favorite, offering stunning views of Vail Mountain, Gore Range, and the surrounding valleys.
Missouri Lakes Trail
This 7-mile round-trip hike takes you through the beautiful Holy Cross Wilderness, with spectacular views of the mountains, and alpine lakes.
Deluge Lake Trail
This 8.5-mile round-trip hike takes you to the stunning Deluge Lake, with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys.
Booth Lake Trail
This 8-mile round-trip hike takes you to the beautiful Booth Lake, with breathtaking views of the mountains and forests.
Bighorn Creek Trail
This 6-mile round-trip hike takes you through the beautiful Bighorn Creek Canyon, with stunning views of the mountains and forests.
Pitkin Lake Trail
This 10.5 mile out-and-back, gorgeous trail starts off steep, but it quickly levels out after approximately one mile. Gradually, the trail ascends past two waterfalls, to the stunning lake that sits below two 12,992 ft peaks.
East Vail Falls
Get ready for a fun and unique adventure. Using rope pulls, you'll ascend the mountain in East Vail discovering one of the area's most beautiful waterfalls and incredible views from the top.
